How to open .OGA files on iOS

Common issues

  1. Try opening the .oga file in a widely compatible Ogg-capable player (for example, VLC).
  2. Re-download or re-copy the file to ensure it is complete (incomplete downloads commonly fail).
  3. If possible, test the file on another device/player to distinguish “file corruption” from “codec not supported.”

It opens in the wrong app (wrong file association)

Your system may be associating .oga with an app that doesn’t support Ogg audio, or the desktop MIME database may not be mapping .oga as expected.

Security note
