The .MA file opens in the wrong app (or not at all)

It’s not a Wolfram/Mathematica file even though it ends in .ma

.ma is used by multiple unrelated formats, so a non-Wolfram .ma won’t open correctly in Mathematica/Wolfram tools.

  2. If possible, open the file in a plain-text viewer to see whether it looks like Wolfram Language text; if it is clearly not text, it may be another format and needs its own originating application.

The file opens but content looks wrong or errors occur
